Volunteer
Theatre Suburbia thrives on the hard work and dedication of its community of members and volunteers. We always appreciate extra hands to help out with a variety of tasks. Not only is this a wonderful way to show support for your local theatre, it's also a great way to meet new people and usually a lot of fun. Volunteers are acknowledged in our programs and in some instances get to see our productions for free.

Set Construction
Sets for our productions are generally built during the day on the weekends starting Sunday following the close of the prior show. We're always looking for extra bodies to help out. If you can use a hammer, drill or paintbrush, we can find something for you to do. And even if you can't, we can use help with other tasks such as folding flyers.
If you're interested in helping out, just pop into the theatre during construction. To find exact dates for set construction, view the calendar.
Stage Managers
Want to be part of the action, but just not sure the stage is right for you? We couldn't put on any of our productions without the aid of those behind the scenes. The stage manager coordinates the props and scene changes in addition to wrangling actors and getting the show started. Interested, but have no experience? No worries - we'll be happy to show you the ropes.
Lights & Sound
Each show requires a tech to run the lights and sounds. Otherwise we'd be left in the dark - literally! Want to bring a little light (and sound) into our lives? All experience levels welcomed - we'll be more than happy to train you.
Ushers & Hospitality
We also need people to give a helping hand at performances. Ushers distribute programs and show our patrons to their seats. Additionally people are needed to handle refreshments. Those helping with these functions are invited to watch the show for free.
